Zebras Gain Momentum – Victory over NU

Aidan Morgan and Tyler Giles

The Zebras picked up a much needed win over Nevada Union, October 25 at home, with a final score of 34-3 keeping their home playoff game hopes alive.

Lincoln dominated all sides of the ball including special teams with kicker Preston Bean nailing a 46 yard bomb of a field goal. Bean explains his very thoughtful process before kicking deep field goals like these, “Full sends only”.

Bean comments on the team’s success by saying, “We shut down their running back Jaxon Horne, our offense competed to the best of their abilities and special teams were solid as usual.”

This week the Zebras will face off against their biggest rival, Placer High. Bean commented on what the rivalry means to him, “It has meant a lot to me since I started playing football, I’m gonna try my best to give it all for my team and avenge Aidan Morgan (former football player, wrist broken by Placer player in younger years).

The stakes are high, the Zebras hope to secure a huge win and maintain a home playoff game advantage.
