Lincoln picks up a huge dub against rival Whitney High School at Whitney, Friday September 13, the final score 22-17. Lincoln had a very impressive performance led by the special teams unit.

The game started with an 95 yard kick return by #17, Senior Joey Brown. Later in the game, a gutsy fake punt by Ethan Rappa changed the game for the zebras. The fake punt was not called by the coaches, Rappa chose to do it  himself. Rappa said, “I trusted my speed and I knew I could get to the outside, I knew if I could run for a first down I could change the game.”

The Zebra defense stood strong with two goal line stands and held the Wildcats to 17 points. Middle linebacker, Junior Logan Faddis, #15, talked about the defensive performance, “We stuffed Whitney’s run game.” When asked what he’s looking forward to in the upcoming home game against Center High School, Faddis said, “Shutting them out, I really think we can do it.”

Lincoln will face off against Center High for their homecoming game and will be looking to get their fourth victory in a row.
