Another Victory for Zebras, Looking Forward to Rival Game
September 10, 2019
Lincoln is on a roll after a 43-0 victory at home against Atwater High September 6, advancing to a 2-1 start on the season. The zebras came out swinging scoring twice in the first two drives.
Running backs Cache Peach and Seth Sampson had a combined 311 yards with 4 touchdowns.
The offensive line was a huge part of the game leading the way for these two rushers.
Junior offensive lineman Nate Pellegrino commented on the offensive lines success by saying, “I think against Atwater we did good at getting off the ball and making space up front for the running backs.”
When asked about this week’s game against rival Whitney High he said, “We need to limit the penalties so we don’t mess ourselves up.”
Senior starting center Eddie Ramirez said, “Offense really kicked in at the beginning with the help from defense.” Ramirez talked about what the Whitney rivalry means to him by saying, “That rivalry means a lot to me because they think they’re so much better than us.”
Tensions will be high and stakes higher for this week’s upcoming game against Whitney.
