The Fighting Zebra Football team’s first home game of the season is stirring up excitement among the students and community. After a tough pre-season loss against Oakridge High School August 23, the boys have bounced back and are ready to get out onto the field and play Antelope High.

Varsity Defensive Coordinator Coach Allen Berg, said, “I think a lot of the mistakes we made last week were mental mistakes on our side. A lot of those mistakes have been corrected this week. This is the best week of practice I have had in three years.”

Sophomore and Varsity football player Caden Noonan said, “We’ve been watching a lot of film and going through our plays, doing our three F’s: fast. physical, and finish. We’ve been going hard in practice, making sure we know what we’re doing, and I think we will be good for this week. It’s our first home game, which I think gives us a little extra fire.”

Looking forward to tonight’s game, Berg said, “I think we’re going to perform very well tonight.”
